i draw onion rings because they're better than curly fries, but i prefer curly fries over french fries and crisscuts over curlies.

"Untitled (Again)" 2010

my submission for my school's annual student juried show. the art department selects a well-off juror who selects a number of pieces from 90+ entrees and picks out awards from school donors to these selected few. i was one of the lucky ones among 90+ people to be selected. i won the howards slatoff award for this diptych. the diptych is meant to be hung in a corner like so. it turned out great (aside from the typo on the title card: "Untilled (Again)"

Tell Me What To Draw (TMWTD)

i can draw anything. if you think about it, you can too! this is a thing i started some weeks back when i was having a dry spell--it's called TMWTD. These are the first two i did. i have a couple more but i have to scan them.

my friend and fellow artist, tony h., told me to draw this. it is a satanic octopus holding torpedoes with his spiky tentacles. i'm surprised the torpedoes didn't blow up!

i did this sketch of some muscle dude and went in with a little more lines, hatching, used this drying orange highlighter to make some flame hair, and use this other drying lime highlighter to create a sort of 'glow" from the flame hair.
